The Purple Apology Story

How did SaySorry.in begin?

When an ordinary “Sorry” did not feel meaningful enough

The journey of SaySorry.in began when Chandan Pathak's crush became upset with him.

Chandan did not want to send a simple “Sorry” through WhatsApp or an ordinary text message. He felt that a short line would not properly communicate his regret, sincerity and genuine effort.

He wanted to create something personal and creative—something that could make the apology feel heartfelt rather than routine.

Chandan knew that his crush's favourite colour was purple. Using his web development skills, he created a personalised digital apology experience built around a beautiful purple colour theme.

The page included much more than a basic apology:

  • A personalised purple visual theme
  • A soft and heartfelt message
  • An attractive digital presentation
  • Chandan's genuine feelings
  • A sincere attempt to reconnect the relationship

When Chandan shared the purple-themed apology page with his crush, she appreciated the creativity and effort behind it.

“If a personalised digital apology could help me express my feelings, many other people might also want to say sorry but struggle to find the right words or the right platform.”

That moment became the starting point of SaySorry.in. Chandan decided not to keep the idea limited to his personal situation. He began shaping it into a public platform where people could apologise respectfully and creatively to a partner, friend, crush, family member or someone special.

The Creative Love Proposal Story

The second story behind SaySorry.in: the Love Section

When Chandan wanted to propose in a memorable way

The story of SaySorry.in did not end with the apology.

After saying sorry through the purple-themed digital page, Chandan wanted to express his feelings more clearly. Once again, he did not want to send an ordinary proposal message.

He wanted the proposal to feel memorable, playful and creative.

With that idea, Chandan began developing different digital love experiences and proposal tools. These experiences used soft messages, interactive elements, playful activities, images, audio, animation and surprise moments.

Chandan used these creative Love Tools to propose to his crush, and she appreciated the digital experience.

“Many people want to propose to their crush or partner, but they do not know how to present their feelings in an interesting and memorable way.”

This personal experience inspired the development of the SaySorry.in Love Section.

For Chandan, love and apology are closely connected emotions:

  • Some relationships begin with a proposal
  • Some misunderstandings later require an apology
  • Sometimes the feelings are clear but the right words are missing
  • A creative effort can restart a conversation
  • Technology can help present heartfelt emotions in a memorable way

Today, both the Sorry Section and the Love Section of SaySorry.in provide creative digital ways for people to express their feelings respectfully.

Why SaySorry.in Exists

The purpose of SaySorry.in

Many relationships become distant because both people keep waiting for the other person to start the conversation.

Ego, hesitation, guilt or a lack of suitable words can prevent even a simple conversation from beginning.

People often have genuine feelings but do not know:

  • How to say sorry
  • How to begin the message
  • How to accept a mistake honestly
  • How to communicate sincerity
  • How to restart a conversation

SaySorry.in was created to provide a respectful and creative digital medium where people can:

  • Apologise to a partner, friend, crush or someone close
  • Express feelings through thoughtful words
  • Create a personalised digital Sorry Card
  • Send an apology request to the intended recipient by email
  • Take the first step towards restarting communication
  • Show a sincere emotional effort from their side

SaySorry.in does not guarantee forgiveness or the restoration of a relationship. The response depends on the recipient and the situation.

The platform is designed to help people communicate an apology respectfully, creatively and without pressure.

Public Apology Stories

Public Sorry Cards

When an apology is not limited to a private inbox

With the user's permission and selected visibility settings, approved Sorry Cards may also be displayed publicly on SaySorry.in.

A Public Sorry Card can represent more than a digital message. It can be a visible effort by someone who is accepting a mistake and attempting to restart communication.

The user can decide whether:

  • Their name should be visible or hidden
  • Their city should be visible or hidden
  • The card should appear in the public section

Public Sorry Cards are not intended to embarrass anyone or expose private information.

Their purpose is to present an apology meaningfully and show the intended person that the sender made more than a casual attempt.

“Saying sorry is not a weakness. Accepting a mistake and making an effort for a relationship reflects emotional maturity.”

Submissions may be reviewed before public display to prevent abusive, harmful or inappropriate content from appearing on the website.

AI & Human Feelings

How SaySorry.in uses AI

Many people want to apologise but struggle to begin the message or express their feelings respectfully.

To help with this problem, SaySorry.in includes an AI Sorry Message Generator.

The AI asks the user a few general questions, including:

  • The apology situation
  • The reason for saying sorry
  • The relationship context
  • The user's relationship with the recipient
  • The preferred message tone
  • Basic personal preferences

Based on these answers, the system generates a soft, respectful and heartfelt apology message. The user can edit and personalise the result so the final message reflects the real situation and genuine feelings.

“AI cannot replace human feelings. However, when used responsibly, it can help people give the right words to genuine emotions.”

Founder Message

A message from Chandan Pathak

“SaySorry.in was created through a combination of my personal feelings, creativity and technology. I built its first digital experience to apologise to my crush using her favourite purple colour. Later, I developed Love Tools to propose to her in a creative way. When she appreciated those experiences, I realised that many other people might also want to apologise, propose or restart a conversation but lack the right platform and the right words. SaySorry.in is my personal effort for those people.”
